大江戸福笑い　Oh!EDO FUKUWARAI

「ん？どんな形でも、集まれば顔に見える？」
目や鼻や口といった従来の福笑いの説明的なパーツを使うことなく“見立てる”ことで様々な表情が作り出される福笑いを提案します。仏具、装飾具、工具、江戸時代の日本人の生活の中から生まれてきた形をモチーフとし、パーツをデザインしています。単純な遊びですが、目隠しを外したときに思いもよらなかった表情との出会いを楽しめる作品です。

“Voila! Even though they are totally different in shape, you may be able to recognize them as a face when they are placed in certain positions.” Without using recognizable parts such as eyes, a mouth and a nose, which are basic facial parts in the traditional game of FUKUWARAI, you can make various facial expressions using completely distant old Edo period objects like Buddhist instruments, accessories and tools.
Although it is a simple game, you can enjoy seeing unexpected facial expressions when you remove the blindfold.
